Individual consultancy

Individual consultants at JeoTV will be able to help with any stage of a digital television project. They might assist with your system specification and design, project planning, development, integration and testing. Examples of this work might be:

• STB Manufacturers: Determining what functionality is required for a given broadcaster, determining what system components are required to provide that functionality, determining how to bring up the STB and how long it's going to take.
• Everyone: Bug hunts and optimisation in Applications and STBs.

Development support

JeoTV can help provide design and implementation advice, as well as answering detailed questions on many components in a digital television system. Many of these subjects will develop into full white papers/application notes or FAQs with time. Examples could include:

• STB Manufacturers: What real time properties are important in an OpenTV kernel implementation. How should I prioritise my tasks for maximum performance
• Broadcasters: How can I minimise application broadcast bandwidth whilst still maintaining quick customer response times
• Application: What do I need to change to make my electronic program guide display information faster.

Custom development

JeoTV can undertake custom development of many software components used in a digital TV system. Examples might include:

• STB Manufacturers: Real Time Kernel (Adaptation Layer), Drivers (MPEG,OSD,Demux,etc)
• STB Manufacturers/Service Providers: Electronic Program Guide and STB behavioural implementation and customisation
• Application/Service providers: Application implementation (not graphics), platform tests
